Oliver’s first landscape paintings were made at the end of 2021, and this has now become the main focus of his work. Drawing on his time as an Oyster farmer and Mussel fisherman in Cornwall and working in wildlife conservation, he aims to create a feeling of immersion and communion with the landscape in his work.

Water is almost always at the heart of his painting, enjoying the challenge of depicting the movement and light upon it, and the mystery of what lies beneath.
